  6.      Share-TAX/1040 is provided on the basis of the "Shareware" concept.

  11. it freely for evaluation and distribution purposes without paying a fee. 
  12. You are granted the right to copy Share-TAX/1040 for use in preparing
  13. and reviewing actual tax returns only if you pay promptly as follows:

  54. Complete documentation is in file STAX88.DOC.  You can print it with
  55. the DOS command:  "PRINT STAX88.DOC".

  58.                     LIMITED VOICE TELEPHONE SUPPORT
  59.                           and ORDER LINE
  60.  
  61. Voice telephone support will be provided at 214/296-8518.  It is limited
  62. in the sense that hours will generally be quite irregular.  However,
  63. please feel free to call at any time, and we will personally answer when
  64. we are available.  At other times an announcement machine may answer on
  65. the fourth ring, and will announce the latest status of the program,
  66. give answers to common problems, etc.  If you do not want to hear the
  67. announcement, hang up before the fourth ring.

  69.                     COMPUTER BULLETIN BOARD SUPPORT
  70.  
  71. A computer bulletin board will be provided at 214/709-6567 where you can
  72. download the latest version of the program, and can also leave questions
  73. for assistance and read replys from the sysop and other callers.  It
  74. will normally be available 24 hours per day.  Use no parity, 8 data
  75. bits, 1 stop bit (the usual).  If the board is down, the phone will not
  76. answer.

  79.                          RUNNING THE PROGRAM
  80.  
  81. To run the program from diskette:
  82.  
  83.      1. First make a backup of the original diskette with DISKCOPY
  84.         or other copy program.  (example: "DISKCPOPY A: B: where the
  85.         original is in drive A and the copy in drive B).
  86.      2. Mount the copy in a diskette drive.  (example: Mount it in 
  87.         drive B).
  88.      3. Make the diskette drive your default drive.  (example: Type
  89.         "B:", then "CD B:\" if not in the top directory).
  90.      4. Run the program by typing: "STAX88".  Then follow the prompts
  91.         and read the help screens.

  93. To run the program from hard disk:
  94.  
  95.      1. Make a new directory.
  96.         (example: "MKDIR C:\TAX").
  97.      2. Copy all files on the original diskette to the directory.
  98.         (example: assume the diskette is in drive B, then type
  99.         "COPY B:*.* C:\TAX").
  100.      3. Make the drive and directory your default.
  101.         (example:  "C:", and then "CD C:\TAX").
  102.      4. Run the program by typing: "STAX88".  Then follow the prompts
  103.         and read the help screens.
